Dominion Physical Therapy was founded in 1990 by Dr. Allen R. Jones, Jr. to service the rehabilitative needs of Hampton Roads residents. Dr. Jones, Jr. is a Physical Therapist from Connecticut, who received his clinical degree from the University of Connecticut in 1987 and moved to make Virginia his permanent home in the same year.

Dominion Physical Therapy has 6 convenient locations throughout the Hampton Roads area specifically Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Newport News, and our headquarters are located in Hampton.

On September 9, 2002, Dominion Physical Therapy expanded its outpatient pediatric therapy practice by acquiring Riverside Health Systems outpatient pediatric therapy practice which consisted of approximately 105 children and five highly trained physical, occupational, and speech therapists.

Dominion Physical Therapy is dedicated to providing the highest quality clinical services in a patient friendly environment. Our staff of licensed physical, occupational (Pediatric only) and speech therapists (Pediatric only) are experienced and highly qualified. Our goal is to move our patients to their maximum level of wellness in the shortest period of time, working as part of the total managed care team of physicians, nurses, and clinical case managers.

Our team top priority is providing quality care to our community. We strive daily to make our patients feel like family while providing them with personalized treatment plans. We have every intention to return patients to their maximum level of wellness in the shortest period of time.

Credentialing

Dominion Physical Therapy is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine. We are a State Approved Outpatient Rehabilitation Center and are Medicare and Medicaid approved providers of rehabilitation services.

In addition, we are a credentialed network provider for a number of managed care plans with membership in the Hampton Roads area. As such, we have experience working in an evolving health care environment.

Dr. Allen R. Jones, Jr. has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1988.
