Meet The Pediatric TeamSince 1997, Dominion Pediatric Therapy is dedicated to providing the highest quality clinical services in a friendly environment. Our professionally trained staff of licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists have extensive experience in treating the children with developmental disabilities. In addition, we offer specialized programs in the following areas:

We also provide school based contracts for Physical/Occupational Therapy
and Speech and Language Pathology
Services in the Hampton Roads
area. We can initiate services for infants and toddlers with a free Developmental Screening. We are able to conduct a full assessment to determine the level of developmental delay.
Early Intervention Pediatric Therapy Services
Dominion Pediatric Therapy serves the Early Intervention (ages 0-3) and pediatric population. Our facilities are dedicated to providing a broad spectrum of services for children ages 0-21. Included in these services are physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, service coordination as well as family assessment and counseling services. As an Early Intervention provider, we remain dedicated to serving this special needs group through quality preventative care. When an infant or child has multiple needs, the therapists join together to form an integrated multidisciplinary team approach, to maximize each child’s potential.
We are approved by the State of Virginia as Part C providers through our local Hampton Newport News Interagency Coordinating Council. This agreement has allowed us to build public and private partnerships, supporting and strengthening families to ensure cost effective and cost efficient service delivery and by integrating Part C requirements into our existing programs. The desired outcomes of these efforts are to ensure the greatest personal outcomes for children and families.
Credentialing
Dominion Pediatric Therapy is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine. We are a State approved Outpatient Rehabilitation Center and are a Medicare and Medicaid approved provider of rehabilitative services. In addition, we are an approved provider for a large selection of managed care plans in the Hampton Roads area.
Benefit Verification | Preauthorization
Dominion Pediatric Therapy will verify benefits with all insurance carriers prior to the first visit. If pre-authorization or primary care physician referral is required we will assist with coordination to ensure smooth reimbursement.
Physician Communication
Communication is ongoing throughout the client’s treatment plan. We provide clear, concise, oral and written communication to the attending physician. Our treatment plan and progress reports are goal oriented.
Early Intervention
Dominion Pediatrics is also a provider of Early Intervention Services. These are developmental services that are designed to meet infants’ or toddlers’ special developmental needs in a number of specialized areas including: gross and fine motor skill, physical, cognitive, language, speech, psycho-social development, or self-help skills.
Dominion Pediatric Therapy is open from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Individual patient needs are accommodated by appointments both earlier and later than normal office hours.
