Louise is a Licensed Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in Biology/Pre-Medicine from Elizabeth State University in May of 1996. Thereafter, she pursued her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University and received it in August of 1999. Louise earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in January of 2017.
Louise has had experience in a variety of physical therapy settings including Pediatrics, School settings, Outpatient Orthopedics, Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Home Health Care.
Louise’s clinical affiliations were at the following sites: Riverside Regional Medical Center – Hospital Based/Acute Care, Riverside Rehabilitation Institute – rehabilitation/Inpatient facility, and Dianne D. Epplein & Associates, Inc., a Pediatric facility. She is a current member of the Tidewater Physical Therapy Association. She joined Dominion Physical Therapy in January of 2000.
Louise is the Clinical Director of the Denbigh office. Her physical therapy intervention focuses on manual therapy skills, to include but not limited to, myofascial release, kinesiotaping, muscle energy techniques and joint mobilizations. These skills have been supported by a myriad of evidence-based instructional conferences that she has attended over the years. Louise’s occupational joy is for patient care to result in rehabilitative restoration and wellness, as well as developing amicable connections with the patients.
Louise is originally from the Netherlands, and is conversant in Dutch and German. She has been married for 13 years, and has 2 daughters and 1 son.
